Kathie, I would be very surprised if a taxi agreed to take you to the hotel, as yes, they do normally have to wait hours in the queue to get a fare from the airport.

If you really wanted to try it, your best bet would be to go up to the departure level and try to flag one down that's dropping off, but I still wouldn't bet on any of them taking you.
