Bill..forget LL and the other, they just "know" they are right

Bob when you are at the JW in Phuket do you swim the entire circuit of the pool?

@MrsBillT - you posts on Nov 9, 15 at 11:48pm and on Nov 10, 15 at 12:45am are the most sensible things you have said so far.
I am sure the OP has common sense and can work out what's appropriate for his family. And, @rhkkmk - it's not about being 'right', it's about giving a balanced viewpoint so the OP can choose. |
Thank you for all your replies. Yes, there is no single right answer. All of you are right in some way or the other. When in Bangkok, it'd be a travesty to not eat off the street. At the same time, I truly appreciate some of your concerns about risks involved and possibility of it messing up the entire trip. It is especially important to folks who haven't been exposed to eating off the streets a lot. The key is to use our common sense. The stalls with the most crowds and highest turnover would have relatively fresher (and tastier!) foods.
This is a extremely short trip and so the plan is: Day 1: Early dinner at Nahm Day 2: Lunch at Krua Apsorn OR some place near Grand Palace and early supper at Thip Samai / Raan Jai Fai Day 3: Lunch at one of the food courts or sit down restaurant branches like Somboon or Som Tom Neua Rest Of Day 3 and Day 4: Hua Hin Day 5: Saturday Morning - visit JJ market with lunch at Or Tor Kor market Day 5: Dinner at one of the food courts I'll check back in a separate thread to ask on the sightseeing/shopping itinerary ! Many Thanks! |
