BKK 6 nights

Can anyone recommend a good hotel around $75 a night. We are traveling with 2 small kids and need a suite or service apartment. I was thinking of the Sukhumvit area so I would have easier access to variety in food for the kids. We also need halal meat and a mosque nearby. Thanks

According to some very basic research I have done, there are halal restaurants in the Nana Sky station area of Sukumvit (between Sois 3-13 or thereabouts). Take a look at http://www.zabihah.com and http://www.halalthailand.com/restaurant/ for some suggestions, I don’t know how up to date or accurate these are.

I don’t have a recco for serviced apartments in that area. This is kind of a go-go bar strip club area and a night market area., but also has shopping and restaurants. It’s a mixed area, but there are some hotels as far as I know.

Note that McDonalds and other fast food places in Thailand are NOT halal certified.

take a look at the centre points serviced apartments....they have them near to sukhumvit and also on silom, wireless and other locations....$75 is on the low side for svcd apartments however

Yes, the Nana area would be best for that type of food, but parts of Nana might not be suitable for kids. It depends on the area. Carol has stayed at the Omni serviced apartment building. I've had a walk-through of that building. It's probably in your price range. There were definitely kids there.
For a list of serviced apartments go on moveandstay.com. They have an extensive list with photos and a location map.I chose my serviced building years ago from doing research from their list. You don't have to book through them as they can be a bit more expensive than maybe going through other avenues like possibly contacting the building directly to bargain or maybe sawadee.com. If you can spend a bit more, the Somerset Suwan Park View building on soi Tonson would be perfect for you and it's very central. I had a walk-through of that building a few years ago as I had considered it. Depending on when you're going, maybe you can get a good deal. Happy Travels!

I forgot to add, usually when staying in a serviced aparmtent, you get a discount if you stay a minimum of 7 nights. Depending on the building, the discount can be substantial. It's substantial at my building. Happy Travels!

Thanks for help this is really useful. Yes it is the other parts of Nana that I am concerned about. We can not stay another night because we leave for Karachi after BKK. Thank you!
