Biometrics at Airports!?!

Hey has anyone recently travelled through any of the airports in Thailand or China esp. Shanghai's Pudong? Are they taking Biometrics i.e fingerprints of arrivals yet and if so are the queues crazy?
Any info would be great! Thanks :D

The queues in Thailand are crazy without any fingerprinting. They do take photos. The land borders are slow but not too bad. Bangkok airport is ridiculous.

Depends on what time you arrive at BKK. Maybe we're just lucky, but it's typically fast when we get there.

Kathie - please can I borrow some luck next time, lol? I think it was 45 minutes getting in, bit less getting out. Big room, just packed with people. (One major perk for flying biz class when I left for London - special processing area although I was warned that could be slow, too.)

thursdays, I think it's because we often fly into BKK in the middle of the night! The times we've used the Biz line, it's been remarkably quick. On the other hand, I do remember a couple of times when the lines were looong...

But no, Shelly, no biometrics yet.
