Best way to get from HKG airport to Conrad Hilton at Pacific Place?

We'll be arriving into Hong Kong airport next month (early evening) and wondered what the best transportation option would be to get to the Conrad (Hilton) at Pacific Place. We're not into schlepping bags on buses or subways. Are there limo services you can pre-arrange, or would a taxi be OK? How long is the ride, and how much should we expect to pay? Thanks!

i prefer the taxi honestly for all the reasons you have mentioned...

Based on your requirements, you have 3 reasonable optionsfor quick and easy access to the Conrad. From most expensive to least:

- Hotel car service from the airport: The hotel will arrange for a car (likely a Mercedes or BMW) to take you directly from the airport to the hotel. Cost will probably be about US$80-100, and it will take about 25 minutes from the airport. Contact the hotel by e-mail or phone to arrange this. They'll provide you with info on where to meet your driver after you exit from customs. Once you arrive at the meeting point in the airport, you won't touch your bags again until you are in your room at the hotel.

- Taxi from the airport: Cost will be about US$45-50, time will be same as hotel-arranged car service. Taxi will be clean, but smaller and not as pleasant as the car service. You might have to wait a short time at the airport taxi queue. Once you reach the end of that queue, you won't touch your bags again until you are in your room at the hotel.

- Airport express train to city, then taxi to hotel. There a convenient and easy train from the airport to the city air station (last stop). Once at the city air station, you can take a taxi to the Conrad. (There's also a complimentary bus service, but that would probably violate your "no-schlepping: wish.) No steps are involved in the process. Cost is around US$30 in total ($26 for the train for 2 people, another $4 for taxi fare). Trains run every 12 minutes and take 24 minutes. The taxi ride adds another 5 minutes,

Great - this is exactly what I needed to know. Thanks!

I love the Airport Express. It gets to HK Island in under 30 minutes and faster than the taxis. Although they are similar to a subway car, they have nicer seats and room for luggage. They are really convenient since the HK taxis are really small and if you've got big suitcases, they may not fit.

Once outside baggage claim, you can hit the ATM or currency exchanger. Then buy your AE ticket at the machine or in person at the counter. Very easy.

Don't worry about suitcases not fitting in the trunk of the taxis. The drivers have plenty of bungee cords to hold the trunk lid down if it can't close. It's done regularly and is safe.
