Best tours or tour guides in Beijing and Hong Kong
 

I am looking for a good place that can provide a tour of the great wall and other locations in Beijing.

With the taxi troubles that my friends have experienced in the past I was told to book as many tours as possible so the tour guides provide transportation to and from the airport as well as a detailed explanations of what we're seeing. Any good suggestions?

What locations? What has your research turned up in terms of tours? Maybe supply a couple ideas and the people here can give you feedback.

Absolutely no need for any kind of tour in Hong Kong.

And, frankly, given the tours in Beijing, you'd be better off without a tour there. I don't know what kind of troubles your friends had, but good research and doing it on your own will get you a better experience than a tour group where you will get false history and forced shopping stops.

A search on this site will turn up detailed info on how to visit the Great Wall by bus. Or by taxi without unspecified hassles. Not to mention the reasons why you should avoid tour guides in China.
