Best time to hire a longtail boat for a Khlong cruise

Can someone advise me on the best time to see the Thon buri khlongs by longtail boat? Morning, evening or will it be "cool" enough during the day? Thanks so much.

we did one between 9 and 11am. It was really getting hot when we finished...glad we did it relatively early.
Aloha!

both times i have done it have been in the afternoon...it was not too hot...there is a covering over the boat to protect you from the sun...
i don't think they would take you in the evening...most boats are gone from the river by 6 or so...

I hate to say it, but Bob is accurate. We've done the Klong tour three times in the afternoon and it was cool each time. The breeze helps.

Thank you all for the advice. I wasn't aware that the boats would be gone by 6 pm and that's good to know. It seems the river might give some relief from the temps even in the afternoon. That helps making my schedule more flexible.

I've read that the boats are difficult to get in and out of. Is that true? Do you get splashed much?

Getting in and out is only slightly tricky, but the driver will assist. I've seen some pretty limited people negotiate entry/exit.

You don't get splashed much at all. The boats have a plastic sheet that deflects almost all of the water. It happens, but hardly significant.

You'll have a great time.

Thanks - I'm looking forward to the adventure of it all.
