I highly recommend Frangipani. It is French with a Malaysian twist. Food was incredible.

Petaling street has so many great Chinese restaurants it would be difficult to choose. Just pick one that is busy and go for it. Likewise with Little. India seek out one of the banana leaf restaurants - messy, but great curries.
The Mandarin Grill and bar in the Mandarin Oriental is really excellent if price in not a consideration.
If hungry, go for one of the buffets in the big hotels. Usually great value and a good way to sample a variety of Malaysian and other food. Shangri la and MO are my favourites.

Depends on what you'd like to eat lol.
Personally, these are my ten favorite (food and restaurants)
1. ben's in Suria KLCC, East-meets-West in a chic gardeny atmosphere, a bit pricey however.
2. Sushi King and Sushi Zanmai, all over KL, Kaiten belt sushi. Not too expensive, but Sushi King is more fusion-y.
3. Old Town White Coffee, pretty much all around KL, I love their Springy Noodles in soup.
4. Canoodling, Bangsar Village, a quirky noodle and salad restaurant.
5. Masjid Jamek- you can find all sorts of satay and fried food, their Saturday Market along the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak street is a delight, cheap and delicious stuff.
6. Jalan Alor, off Petaling street for the unique Malaysia "street hawker" fare.
7. Nasi Ayam, or Chicken Rice, pretty much all over KL- I enjoy the ones at KLCC and Wisma Central.
8. Gasoline Cafe, Berjaya Times Square, interesting Asian dishes with Western overtones lol. Fun themed.
9. Johnny's Steamboat, you literally cook at your table- the stuff is beyond delicious. They have a few places around KL.
10. Roti Boy's famous breads.
I hope you have a delicious stay in KL
