best options for 3 week stay in singapore
 

Hi, I am interested in suggestions for accommodation in Singapore for a period of 3 weeks. We have stayed at the Allson and found it most convenient for short term stay but wonder at what else to look into when on a modest budget. Our needs are few and mainly we prefer to eat out when holidaying.

I have stayed at the YMCA International House Hotel for years of trips. It's at 1 Orchard Road next to the Dhoby Gaut MRT(subway) Station. I have stayed there as long as a week and a half. I like the place and the price and location are just right....plus the laundry service and internet are very inexpensive compared to regular hotel standard prices and breakfast is included in the price of the room. There is also a pool on the roof. Get a room on the 8th floor and you'll get a nice safe. Each room also has a fridge. Happy Travels!

For 3 weeks I rather not have breakfast included cos it gets kind of boring eating the same spread everything. There's lots of interesting food and cheap food available any time of the day and night.

It would be nice if you could mention the budget and preferred locations. Would make it easier to offer suggestions.

You don't have to eat the breakfast. It's there for those who want it. Plus, it's nice not to have to go out and look for food early in the morning. I'm also one not keen on eating Asian-style breakfast items that early in the morning...it doesn't sit well with my stomach. It's also nice to be able to drop into the breakfast room and have a couple of pieces of toast and juice if one feel inclined to do so. Happy Travels!

We've stayed at Allson too and found it good.
If yuo can search back I asked about serviced apartotels or whatever they are called and someone suggested some near Clarke Quay for weekly, almost same as ahotel but good value, if you search back thru you may come across the thread, i'll have a look if I get the chance but they were good value for weekly stays.
