Mandarin Oriental KL is nice - one of the 2 best hotel gyms I have been to (seen many), other gd facilities, and as it's only about 2 years old, in good condition. Great location just by the Twin Towers which is pretty central too. Have only stayed on the club floor -this is MYR 450 aprx, normal rooms i think are about MYR300. Divide by 3.8 to convert to USD - this is not up to date at all though.
I hear that the Ritz Carlton has fantastic service. It is more on a boutique hotel vein. However the major downside is, the location , though central, is unpleasant. My mum says the lobby is dark & claustrophobic...

I've stayed at the Regent and the Mandarin and vote for the Mandarin. Great location, new building, beautiful pool, etc. Last I heard (which has been a while), rooms were US$75-100. A great bargain.

There is nothing wrong with the Regent as an alternative, but it is much, much older and the food options weren't as good.

We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel.
The hotel puts out wonderful buffets,
has a nice pool, nice rooms, and is within walking distance of the towers.
