Any opinions on the best hotel choice in Langkawi?

what are your preferences? your idea of best may not match mine!

My favourite hotel on Langkawi is not the BEST according to the travel mags, but i love it for its individuality and Restuarant. The service was good and it also supports a great cause. The location may not suit everyone. Give us a bit more info on what you are actually looking forward and hopefully we can help you choose.
Its Bon Ton and we had the Palm house. One of my most favourite hotels ever.

If cost is not a concern then The Datai is fantastic. Go for one of the villas in the forest. Otherwise, I agree with Smeagol re Bon Ton, a totally different type of hotel and a lot less expensive, but a place I should be happy to return to.
