Best ever hotel in Singapore?

We will be staying in Singapore for one night (part of our honeymoon trip) and want to book a really nice suite in a really nice and exclusive hotel. We don't mind paying the extra money. Any recommendations? Thank you

Do you like old world elegance or modern hotels? Big or small?

For something nice and different.

Raffles Hotel, old world. Near eating places. Should try one of those old fashioned Hainanese coffee shops selling the local favorite - chicken rice.

The Fullerton, refurbished 1928 building. Within walking distance of the Esplanade. Nice eating places with some of them overlooking the harbour. Beautiful at night.

There are a lot of fans on this forum of the Ritz Carlton Millenia. The decor is more modern than the Raffles, but not annoyingly so. Make sure to get a marina view - best views in the city!

Raffles is seriously expensive .Also look at The Goodwood Park in Scotts Rd. Historic old building and lower profile than Raffles. If arriving late and leaving early then save your dollars for elsewhere and stay at one of the very good hotels in Raffles City eg Swissotel .

Thanks everyone for the help. Will Check out Ritz Carlton. Gloria, I like luxury and nice views. Don't mind how old or big the hotel is.

Then the Ritz Carlton is probably a good choice for you.
