There's a flash animation--you need to update your browser. But there should also be a link in the bottom right hand corner marked 'cut to the chase' to skip the animation.

Tripgirl I also got the same black screen so maybe the site is down for maintenance or something. Also, as you are traveling next summer hold off on ordering the guides for a bit - they are updated 6 monthly so by ordering next year you should presumably get the most up to date info - esp useful for phone numbers, places which may be closed for renovation, etc. See if the boxed set makes sense - you almost get 1 free I think (5 for the cost of 4).
