Best beach in Bali - Jimbaran or Legian??
 

I haven't seen a lot of info on this chat board about the beaches in Bali. I've been told that both Jimbaran and Legian are both nice, calm, white sanded. Opinions?<BR><BR>Thanks to all who respond.

While both these beaches are nice, in one respect there is a great difference. The beach at Jimbaran is almost always practically deserted. Several 4 & 5 star resorts are located on the beach and it seems that there pool areas are so great their guests can't bear to tear themselves away to visit the beach. On the other hand Legian is part of the Kuta to Seminyak beach strip and is always busy. So, if you want the beach pretty much to yourself, and without the inevitable hawkers, get a taxi and head to Jimbaran. All the beaches in the south of Bali are white sand. The beaches in the north are black sand.
