Best area to stay in Singapore?

Hi

My nephew is going to Bali on his honeymoon and has a stopover in Singapore where he will be staying for a couple of days.

Which is the best area to stay, in order to visit the city in a short period ?

Thanks in advance.

Basically anywhere in central Singapore as Singapore is extremely small, public transportation (MRT-subway) is excellent, and taxis are inexpensive. Happy Travels!

Geylang area would not be appropriate to honeymooners.

Thank you . But isn't there a better area to stay, since Cat says Geylang isn't appropiate for honeymooners?

Thank you very much! I am going to tell him that.

Basically, any place close to an MRT will be convenient. So lots of areas will work well. What hotels is he considering? We can help if you give us an idea of his budget.

Oh, by the way, if they are flying on Singapore Air, the airline often has great stopover deals. They often offer huge discounts son some very nice hotels. Tell him to tak a look at that.
