Beijing's Current Weather
 

I am leaving Tues for Beijing. Can someone who is there now or resides there tell me if the weather is as reported on the weather websites i.e., sunny, in the 40's. I hate to bring a winter jacket if I don't really need one.

You really need one.

It just snowed yesterday.

As of 2 weeks ago, you will need a thick coat. Esp if you are heading to the Great Wall. We wore winter coats, gloves & hats & froze.

I leave for Beijing April 3. I had planned on taking a light jacket. Now I`m wondering if I will need more? I hate being cold.

No sandstorms yet... we are still in the dead of winter. I saw on CNN that a sandstorm was threatened for last Saturday, but it snowed instead. Temps dropped and it is now bright, windy, dry and very cold.
