Beijing Street Map
 

I have used Streetwise maps for cities in Europe for many years. I like the grid system and street index used by Streetwise and that they're laminated and only have 3 or 4 folds. Streetwise makes a map for Shanghai but does not make one for Beijing. Can anyone suggest a similar map for Beijing? If not similar, one that is accurate, easy to use, contains a subway map, is manageable size wise, etc. Thanks.

You may want to check chinahights.com and travelchinaguide.com, I've seen subway maps on their sites.

I have Rough Guide and the maps are fairly detailed for Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin and many smaller cities. Just copy the maps to bring along. The guide is very thick book. Same for Lonely Planet.
