Fair point. I think I visited perhaps 5 mosques last year in Turkey, all in Istanbul and I loved them. My question was more an interpretation of HT's response vs. my own opinion. Although I think I have at least a 1/2 dozen temples on my Kyoto itinerary alone, not to mention shrines + temples in other cities. My main pull to Kamakura is to see the Daibatsu. Starting a separate thread as I get a bit closer to my trip is a good idea. |
I didn't get templed out and indeed we found the many temples and shrines fascinating and quite distinct from each other. We actually went to more than I'd originally planned to visit because we enjoyed them so much more than we'd expected.
I've not even included all of them but here's a series of posts I wrote about the ones we went to: http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/02/mes...of-love-1.html http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/02/mes...of-love-2.html http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/02/mes...of-love-3.html http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/03/mes...of-love-4.html http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/03/mes...of-love-5.html http://www.kaveyeats.com/2013/03/mes...of-love-6.html |
Hi Kavey,
I enjoyed your posts. I loved the Kennin-ji art project (I like dragons). =) |
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed. It was a fun thing to stumble into. :-)
