Bedsupperclub- For old tourists?

I'd like to go to the bed supper club, but do not want to be surrounded by older caucasian tourists (No insult, but I prefer to be around mostly Thais when I go out. I don't want to feel like I'm eating in America)). Does anyone know if this is the case? Thanks

When I was there in November, the people there were almost all tourists, but there were very few older people and less that half were caucasian. The visitors were from all over: Singapore, Brussels, Japan, Taiwan, UK... I don't know how typical the mix I saw is for the place.

my experience was similar to kathie's, but i was there in june....we were the oldest at 61....we did not feel at all out of place....sitting next to us was an asian guy who lives in CA and his friend a thai girl (not an escort)....i think there were a number of thais but it is quite expensive so i suspect that unless it was a special occasion they would not spend that much money for a dinner...i think that in the bar you might see more thais but only rich ones...

bed is a unique experience....you will not mix with people while there....you may mix with those sitting either to your left or right however, if you choose, but many did not....we did...

i should think that the average age was probably 26-32....

I was there last December and it was almost all tourists or ex-pats who were bringing family or friends. I would say that the majority of the people were young but at least 30% were over 50 and at 59 we were definitely NOT the oldest ones there.

Mango-- there were very few thais there. In fact I saw a lot more thais at Lord Jim or China House at the Oriental than I did at Bed Supper Club. The locals were in the bar, however. Just not in the restaurant.

Hi Gloria, Have a reservation at Bed Supper for 2nd night in Bangkok (at 9pm). Is Lord Jim's a better choice or is Bed Supper really that special? Hope to still see you in Chiang Mai....Kathy

Bed Supper Club and Lord Jim are completely different so impossible to comapre. Bed is definitely more unique. I'd go there. And I definitely plan on seeing you in CM.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your kind responses! I hope no-one was insulted, since it could easily be misconstrued as being so. Nothing against caucasians or older people! :)
I'll be giving BSC a try on my next visit. Regards,

Kurt

We booked the 9 p.m. seating (second seating), mostly young people, either young tourists or thai young people. Right after dinner on a Wednesday night, it was salsa night and the leader of the band got many many people to get up and learn the salsa.

I think if you are booked for the first seating, there may be an older crowd.

Isis, I hope you're having a great time!

We were booked the first seating, and we were the oldest people there...
