beaches in Thailand

We will be in Thailand in mid November. We would like to spend a weekend at a beach resort. Any suggestions?

Choose somewhere on the Andaman Sea: Phuket, Krai, Khoa Lak, etc.

It might still be raining a fair bit around the Andaman area, escpecially Phuket. But it should still be a great place to go. Phuket has some great beaches, all cater to different types of travellers, from singles, couples to family. You might also want to check out Phi Phi Island and also Krabi mainland. There are some amazing beaches down there.

But if you want something on the other side, then you should check out Koh Somet which is a beautiful little island in the Gulf of Thailand, on the other side of the peninsular.

Just be careful when planning.

Many of the beaches close to Phuket are beautiful.

There are many areas where the beaches are quite poor considering the accommodation or the beaches will be extremely busy. KPP can be too busy to enjoy, and some of the beaches in Krabi can be either poor quality due to the tides or very busy.

We found some wonderful spots on Koh Yao Noi/Yai and in the NE of Pang Nga bay.

Maybe Hua Hin would work best for you..

If I might also add lots of trash as well on the beaches. If u go to a high tourist area like chawang beach in Koh Samui. It was really disgusting.

My family and I are traveling to Thailand in early to mid April and are planning to be spending the tail end of our trip in the Andaman Sea. We are looking into stay on Koh Yao Yai or Koh Yao Noi. We would love to spend our vacation not surrounded by tourists but rather local people, spots and towns. We would also love to see empty beautiful beaches with some snorkeling or sandy bottoms as well as some limestone cliffs that we could kayak or take a long tail boat by/ through a cluster of them. We love the way these islands appear isolated from the touristy influence around them but still have easy access to places like Ko Phi Phi and Ko Hong (where we are planning to take day trips to). So which island should we choose to stay on? Koh Yao Yai or Noi? Or should we scrap the whole idea of these islands and rather just stay in Krabi or Phang Nga? We are open to any new island suggestions as well! Thanks!

Also...would the weather be good around these islands this time of year?
