Beach hotel Thailand

My husband and I want a beach holiday in Thailand on the Andaman Sea late Feb. We prefer higher end, beautiful beach, clean, sunset , availability to great snorkelling, and good food.
We are happy to pay for a great experience. Not a party place . Liked idea of Ko Kraden but too many complaints of bugs in rooms.
Looking at Ko Lanta. Happy to fly wherever from Bangkok within a day. Want a room on or facing the beach.
Any suggestions ?

Ko Lanta is a good option, as is Koh Lak. Take a look at one of the hotel booking sites like booking.com or agoda.com and see which hotels appeal to you.

Koh Lanta would be good. Take a look at The Pimalai which would likely meet your high end requirements. There may be newer developments there that would be as good or better. I can’t recall whether it is on the sunset or sunrise side of the island but there is decent snorkelling around the island.

Khao Lak is getting a little overdeveloped IMO, plus the snorkelling is non existent unles you want to take a boat to the Simailan Islands where is is as good as it gets around Thailand.

We are looking seriously at Tubkaak near Krabi. Great reviews and I think good snorkelling nearby. Any comments ?
I will review your suggestions crellston. Thanks.

The Pimalai looks lovely. Now decisions , decisions...
