Bangkok Swiss Hotel

Has anyone stay and that hotel and is it a good location? I have found a rate of $46? is that a good for an hotel like this one or can I do better? First time going to Thailand.

I assume you are referring to the Swiss Lodge. Here is a recent report on it.This small hotel (57rooms) off Silom Road near the Dusit Thani hotel is the closest equivalent to a real boutique hotel in Bangkok. Rooms are furnished in light colors, giving them a fresh look, good size with a large bed, ample work space and all but standard rooms have a personnel safe and coffee making facilities.
Bathrooms are compact, but fully equipped. Half the guest-room floors are designated no-smoking. A very small
outdoor pool and sundeck are on the fifth floor. The second floor has a bar lounge and on the ground floor is a coffee-shop-style dining room serving thai and continental food. Nice lobby with friendly and courteous staff. The rate of $46 is good for a standard room as long as it includes taxes, service charges and breakfast. Right now they have a special on from Apr 15 to May of 1700 baht (40us) for a single and 1900 for a double.
Thank you very much Scotters, this is exactly what I was looking for, do you know of good alternative to swiss Lodge, even if it's a little more expensive?

You might consider these that are under $50: Silom Serene, Tarntawan, Arnoma and Le Meridien President. Also the Pathumwan Princess and the Sofitel Silom are good but over $60. They are all within a 10 minute walk of a skytrain station.
