Bangkok Super Thread

I saw this on the Europe forum and thought it was a great idea for similar questions which come up re Bangkok. To start with I am pasting the url for Kathie's recent question which had some interesting shopping answers. Hope everyone else adds to this then we can just top it when a newbie asks some of these questions.

So, shopping for unique arts and crafts is answered in :

Hi glorialf-

The thread for Oriental vs Peninsula is at

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34691778

Also, your first restaurant URL needs fixing. I don't know which one you were aiming for. ((F))

Looks like I screwed these links also -- if anyone knows how to fix them, please do and let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks
Gloria

Open the thread you want, and click on the title at the top on the right side of the page. The address that you get is what you want.

You can see that it is different from the address that you get when you first access the thread from the left side.

Gloria: Why don't you try to leave a line space between the last sentence and the link. Try it it may work.

mrwunrfl Oct 17th, 2005 10:38 PM

That won't work. Jed described a good solution.

glorialf Oct 18th, 2005 05:30 AM

Jed-- I don't see what I;m supposed to click on

SJLBK Oct 18th, 2005 05:51 AM

Gloria - when you click on a thread on the left and it opens on the right, the title of the thread is at the top of all the posts under that thread. So here, it would be "Bangkok Super Thread"

If you click on the title at the top of the thread after you have opened it, instead of on the left, you will get a different URL in your browser address field. That is the link Jed is talking about.

Does this make sense?

Jed Oct 18th, 2005 05:59 AM

Indeed, click on

Bangkok Super Thread

which is just above "Post a reply..."
