Hi RHKKMK,
I did book through your website. Do you think that this is different? And did you make a booking that you can cancel? I did the flexible, but hope to switch to lower rate after we pay for our Bhutan trip (8 weeks out of departure) and put it all under travel insurance. They invited me to join their loyalty, which I did.
To me, the junior suite actually looks nicer than the full suite. Is this true in real life IYO?

this is different I believe.. worth an e mail

they requested pre-payment but I asked for an exception---a lot of $$ to tie up for 10 months. they ok'd that in 2014.

not sure about suites, although we often have an upgrade to jr suite which is actually just a large room with extra seating.

Sent an e-mail. They did not directly respond to my question about possible more advantageous arrangements, but reassured me they have noted my other various requests. I think this may be Korean for "no way, but no problem for trying"

I just secured return BKK-SFO 80,000 mile business award flight so that we are now set for trip (with one doubt noted in new thread)--flights, hotels, tour operator for Bhutan, everything. Now on to phase 2, leisurely months of planning Nepal and Bangkok, learning history, reading fiction.

THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH--with a special thank you to rhkmk (whose initials I could not remember on new thread) for Anantara idea.
