Bangkok Second Trip
My wife and I are returning to Bangkok in November. Last time, we did Grand Palace, Wat Pho Floating market and other must see sights. Any suggestions for hidden treasures in and around Bangkok?
The day trip to Ayuthaya and the Summer Palace is worthwhile as is the Jim Thompson house (assuming it wasn't one of your "must sees" on your first trip.
agree with Craig. We enjoyed both of these.
The Jim Thompsom House is a must if you didn't see it. Also, spend some time wandering around in the area along the river/canals to see the neighborhoods.
Thanks for the suggestions. WE will definitely incorporate those. Any thoughts on daytrips to National Parks close to BKK?

the small zoo near parliament is quite nice....nearby is the teak palace the name of which begins with a "V"....very nice ....also Suan Pacard palace is small and very interesting--used until a few years ago....
weekend market if you are hardy.... enjoy |
Definitely see the teak palace with its lovely grounds and Thai dances at 10 a.m and 2 p.m. out on the lawn! We spent half a day there. It was one of my favorites.
