Kuranosuke...I've only been veggie/macrobiotic since 1976.I go back and forth between veggie and macro depending on the situation and my mood. Plus,I occasionaly eat fish and a few eggs. I was macrobiotic for years and macrobiotics consume fish. So, the only thing I don't eat is meat/poultry...can't digest the stuff anymore...and since I'm deadly allergic to dairy...I have to ship that. But there's plenty to eat out there...trust me. Plus, really good restaurants are usually quite accomodating and will make the same dishes without the poultry/fish. The only three places that I've really had it rough in are in Texas, the South Island of New Zealand, and outside of the hotel dining rooms in Ghana,West Africa. My kiwi friends have a 1200-acre farm with 3,000 sheep and the first morning I got up, I went to the fridge to get out my lentils, brown rice(guenmai) and miso paste(brought from home) only to find that my friend had just slaughtered a sheep that morning had tossed the parts in the fridge. Not a pretty sight, but I have a strong stomach! Ha...ha...ha...Happy Travels!
