bangkok or saigon
 

Have a layover before hooking up with my tour. Would you stay over in Saigon or Bangkok for two xtra nights?

My vote would be for Bangkok, no question. So much to see and do plus fabulous shopping.

I would choose BKK, the shopping is great and there are a couple of half day tours you can do like the Klongs, or the Grand Palace, been there heaps of times and always do both! The shopping is limited in Saigon and there are only realy full day tours worth doing.

i'm with bkk also....so many more options there both with shopping, hotels and restaurants....it is more tourist savvy than saigon as well---not to say that saigon is not...

Hands down, bangkok. Saigon is actually one of the least interesting places in Vietnam and Bangkok is one of the great cities of the world.
