Bangkok Masasges ?

hi

anyone knows where to get good/reasonable price massages other than wat po and those in hotels ??

You can call the Wat Pho Massage School and they will send a masseuse to your hotel room whenever you would like. We've used this service and been very pleased. Also, there any many independent places to get a massage. They will be obvious.

Do you need to schedule a Wat Pho massage at your hotel room in advance? Someone suggested that we have a massage when we first arrive (late at night) to help with jet lag. Can we call after we check in or would we need to make that arrangement in advance?

We arrived at midnight. The next morning at about 9:00 a.m., I called the Wat Pho Massage School and arranged for two masseuses to come to our hotel room (at the Royal Orchid Sheraton) at 5:00 p.m.. They were punctual and wonderful. It helps a lot with the physical soreness from jet lag. We had them return the next several days. Superb. If you wanted a amssage the first thing in the morning, I suspect you would have to pre-arrange. Probably the easiest would be through your hotel.

Do you recall what the price was?

When we called the school, it was B700 for an hour and 1/2. When the massage was arranged by talking to someone at Wat Pho itself when we visited (the year before), the price was B800 for two hours.
