bangkok in october....

Hi: I will be traveling to Bangkok mid-October .I hear the weather's rainy??. Any observations or tips... Staying at Dusit Thani... I hear it's a very nice hotel. Northwest World vacations... opinions??

Mid-october can be ok for travel here, although you may get some evening rain, but I think it will not be too bad compared to sept. You can expect warm temperature, 30-34C, if it does not rain. Isn't it too hot?

The rainy season should be coming to an end - though it has not finished yet. Daytime max around 32C-34C.Nighttime around 28C.

The Dusit Thani is nicely located overlooking Lumpini Park, one of the few green spaces in the city and at the start of SIlom (the main street). It is rather quiet at the moment as a lot of people have been dissuaded from going there due to the constuction of the new subway system just outside the hotel.
