Bangkok Hotel Buffets
Going to BKK tomorrow and would like to take my wife somewhere nice for lunch. I like hotel buffets because of the vast selection of food. So would like to hear some recommendations for favorite hotel buffets. Anywhere riverside? Preferably somewhere that won't cost an arm & a leg.

Lord Jim at the Oriental Hotel has a fabulous buffet lunch! My favorite in the whole world!
|
our favorite is the lord jim at the oriental....fabulous buffet at lunch (maybe only weekdays??) in the lord jim restaurant...about $27 per...lots of fish but other things too and right on river--inside, not out...
i think the peninsula also has a nice buffet, either inside or out... most of the main hotels have a buffet... \ on sundays the rang mahal has a fabulous brunch....its in the rembrandt hotel...indian food and tons of it....26th floor with great views...make a res however and ask for a window seat...fablous shakes that everyone is always talking about on here... |
i will piggy back on your thread....please tell me the best lunch buffet in bangkok, anyplace in the city, but more importantly the best sunday brunch????? thanks bob
hyatt??? sukathai (sp)?? where?? and also tell us why it is the best... |
lcuy...looking over my shoulder??
|
biscotti, while not a buffet, has a very nice lunch...in the four seasons hotel
also the liu rest. on 3rd floor of the conrad hotel on wireless has a fabulous dim sum lunch....best we have ever had...all you can eat....order from an english menu....served by the plate rather than from carts... |
great minds think alike Bob!
The buffet at Lord Jim is served every day of the week...I know because I just emailed them yesterday about Christmas reservations!! They have everything from fish to dim sum to steak, sushi, shrimp a dozen different ways, thai food, and a chocolate fountain. I also like the one at the Pen, and the Landmark has a fabulous breakfast buffet as well. Darn, now I'm starving! _ |
we have been to lord jim's several times, but not since the renovations....we will go this time the noon before leaving for india....just in case you did not leave us any nan in delhi....
|
I used to love the buffet at the Sukhothai, but last time I was there it was a bit less spectacular, although I have heard Sunday brunch is the best. The Raffles Nai Lert (used to be Hilton International) does an entire chocolate buffet on Sunday, but I've never been there.

The buffet at The Conrad is excellent - around 7-800bht as I recall
|
Definitely Lord Jim at the Oriental. GTorgeous room and view and incredible food and variety -- plus you don't have to worry about getting sick from it.
|
Don't forget Plaza Athenee. They have one of the best buffets in town.
