Bangkok Haunts -- another great read
 

Thanks for whoever let us know this was out. John Burdett really knows how to write and really knows how to capture bankok, buddhism, thai culture -- and manages to make the very very ugly compelling and compassionate. But if you have not read his prior books (Bangkok 8 and bangkok Tattoo) start with them.

I'm currently listening to Bangkok 8 in my car and I LOVE it! He really does have a great grasp of Bangkok and Thai culture. I find myself smiling the whole time I'm listening. Looking forward to the others...

I gotta read those books

Bangkok Haunts is very good. Not quite as good as Bangkok 8, but better than Bangkok Tattoo. Collectively the books are wonderful.
