Bangkok dentists

I have just found out that I need some dental work-crowns. I have read some previous post about the dental clinic at Bumrungrad. Can anyone recommend a dentist there? Do anyone know an estimated cost? Here it would be $500 for a porcelain veneer crown. Any info would be valuable. We will be in BKK in September.

much less money...i believe it is sort of a clinic situation where you go to who ever comes up next as the doctor available...not sure of this however....you will be very pleased

yes a good deal unless after you get home you have problems with it- then what?
Its a long expensive ride back to BKK?

I'd say for fillings, cleanings, etc I think you are safe but for expensive work like that you run some level of risk if things go wrong.

Bill-- I know people who have spent a fortune in the U.S. for dental work and things have gone wrong.

Yes Gloria - problems happen here in the US but you have a grievance process- most dentists will work with you to resolve the problem. That has been my experience as they do not want to get embroiled in such matters and/or loose a customer. There are boards you can address problems to if you can't work it out. Lastly you can seek legal redress- I'm not sure what your options are if your dentist is in BKK. (Get on a plane I suppose!)
