Bangkok: Best Place for Pre/Post Dinner Drinks
 

Any WOW locations with great views or a special atmosphere? City views? Tropical Gardens? River Breezes? A few places that are not too heavy on the wallet would be nice :).

I thought the bar atop the Sofitel Hotel (Silom), had a very nice view.

The bar at the top of State Tower or the 360 at the Hilton spring to mind.

Yes, V9 has a nice view, but I agree with Michael about the top of State Tower (Sky Bar). This is my favorite place for a view and a nice river breeze (64 floors up). The top of the Banyan Tree also has a nice view. I have not been to 360 yet. I also have not been to the top of the Centara at Central World. I understand that it is yet another open air bar with a view.

i prefer vertigo atop the banyon tree hotel on sathorn rd to the sky bar....

drinks at the oriental especially the authors lounge area...

and 360 at the hilton on the river is very nice and the view is unbeatable...
