Bangkok Airways website booking problem
I am trying to book a flight from REP-BKK and after providing my credit card info (and seeing verifying progress with credit card company) am given an error message, instructing me to either email them or to call them overseas. Tried it twice, once using Firefox and the other time through Internet Explorer with same credit card.
I've seen the threads on problems with Air Asia's website, but nothing about problems with Bangkok Air. I've sent an email to Bangkok Air and the response is a generic "we'll get back to you". Wondering if this problem is similar to Air Asia - do I just need to try different credit cards and perhaps on different computers? Hoping that the charge didn't actually go through twice. |
You can call AirAsia on 011 (+60) 3 86 60 43 43 regarding a booking.
They have opened up a number of walk-in booking offices. Bangkok has a number of them in Tesco malls and opposite KSR. Are there any where you are? Can you contact your credit card company or bank online and just ask if AirAsia has taken any money from your card? |
Cyberia, her question is about Bangkok Air, not Air Asia.
Many people have booked Bangkok AIr by emailing them. There are often problems using a US credit card on a foreign airline site. You can also call their 1-800 number to book. Do call your credit card. Often people find that the airline tried to charge them and the credit card declined it, so that may be the problem with your booking. |
Thanks Kathie-
I wasn't aware there was a 1-800 number, the error message I got just gave me a number with an international code. I'll look over the website to try and locate it. Otherwise hopefully they'll respond shortly to my email. I booked a ticket with Air Asia online a few months ago using the same credit card without any problems so I was surprised with today's difficulty. I did call my credit card and they said they didn't decline the charge. |
