Bangkok airport taxi options

Does anyone have any recent experience with taxi service from the "new" international airport to the Thonburi side of the river? We won't be staying in a hotel, so a standard shuttle won't work. With three travellers, and 24+ hours flying time under our belts, I don't want to deal with buses or BTS. So, recommendations of reliable taxi companies and what we should expect to spend would be great! Thanks.

yes, in October we did it twice... we were going to an hotel however. cost about 300B plus 70 B in tolls.

make sure you have both exact directions in thai if possible and a cell phone number for the driver to call if he needs help. this is very important.

Any taxi from the airport can manage the transfer, with the backup of a phone number to call at your destination, if needed. If you would like more personalized service and your choice of vehicle, the car service I've used for years is AAC Limo.

if you have lots of luggage, ask the taxi starter for a "large taxi" and for 700 B (flat fee) they will bring an SUV... regular taxis are Toyota corollas with limited luggage room.

Get a taxi either from the limo desk or the rank downstairs - don't listen to the touts in arrivals. they are not meant to be there but still mange to pester people as they come into the meeting area.
