Bangkok Airport Hotel?
I have a 10 hour overnight layover. I arrive at midnight. Any suggestions for decent airport hotel? Is it worth going through customs? Is the airport hotel ok or is better to trek through customs to an a nearby outside hotel?

There's a transit hotel on concourse G, which saves you going through customs, but it can be quite expense for long stays, since they essentially charge by the hour.
The airport hotel is a Novotel, and is right in front of the terminal. However, it's also rather expensive, at just under $200 a night. Close by is the Royal Princess Srinakarin and Novotel Bangna, which you can get for about half the price of the airport hotel. Keep in mind that if you leave the airport, you'll lose time going through immigration out and in, so your 10 hour layover would shrink to six or seven hours. |
Heymo recently posted about staying at the Queen's Garden Resort, about 10 min. from the airport. They had a pick-up by the hotel. It was very inexpensive and sounded like it might be just the thing for you.

I just discovered another airport hotel called Thong Ta Resort. Does anyone know anything about this place? It appears to be new and very close to BKK.

Richard I just read a review on trip advisor about this place. It will be interesting to see if anyone else knows anything.
