Thanks. I will visit that museum when I go to Bangkok. I found a few other museums while looking at it (Vimanmek, Philatelic, and the Science museum which I think I visted many years ago). Maybe a visit to the Ancient City too. I'll pass on the restaurants. I'm not a fussy eater or an adventurous eater.

Do note that you have to book an appointment to visit the Prasart. You'll get a personal guide and you will be the only person at the museum while you are there. It's some distance out of town, and you'll need a driver to take you. It's a bit difficult to find, so your driver may want to call to get specific directions.

The Suan Pakkard palace is also an interesting stop. The Laquer Pavillion is renowned, but the whole place was fascinating.

The Vimanmek has a dance show in the afternoon.

V-mek is very nice and worth some time...the whole estate is worth exploring including the throne room building located through the park at the rear

Visit the Jim Thompsen house and read the bio of what happened to him...with all the various theories listed at the end of the book. We had a hard time getting around by ourselves in Thailand because the alphabet is different and we couldn't easily read street signs. Maybe a private guide in the beginning would have been a good idea.
