Bali wedding in villa

I'm thinking of having my wedding next year in Bali, during September. My fiance and I are looking out for villas with a clifftop or beachfront setting.

Apart from the reviews on other forums (like Tripadvisor), it is hard to find specific information about weddings in Bali (cost, locations, documents needed, etc). I'd love to get any kind of advice - not just on specific villas, but also how I can looking for wedding suppliers in Bali - thanks!

I don't have recommendations for any particular wedding organizers, but I found these websites to be informative.

I think if you spend some time looking through a few websites you'll get an idea of what's out there. You can either ask the organizers to handle every single detail for you, or you can pick and choose ala carte.

Legal documentation is complicated. A lot of people just have their marriage officiated in their home country, then come to Bali for an "unofficial" celebration.

You might also consider a hotel wedding, instead of a private villa. Before I moved to Bali I often stayed at the Legian Hotel in Seminyak and observed many beautiful weddings on their grounds.

If you haven't been to Bali before I can help you with information on the different locations. But first do some shopping an see what appeals.

a fodorite friend renewed his vows there a few years ago and was very pleased with what his hotel did for him..

Have a look below website. I used to work as florist in Bali long time ago and I used to go to Bluepoint for flower arrangement. It really nice view from chapel!

Balitravelforum.com is a good resource for current info. Lots of posters with first hand experience.
