Bali Discovery...what's the deal?

Thinking of using them as they have a very slightly discounted rate for one of those hotels we're interested in in Ubud.

Do they work like sawadee.com? ...is there an upfront payment? Or is it more of a traditional booking where you can cancel xx days out and get your money back?

Any input/feedback is appreciated!

Filmwill, I just used them to book the Legian and their rate was considerably less than through the hotel directly. ($400 for a studio suite incl. breakfast, tax & service)

However, I did have to pay upfront, and the cancellation policy says you can cancel up to 14 days, but within 14 days there is one night penalty charge. Hope this helps.

thanks barefoot. so, outside of 14 days, it's a 100% refund?

i used them and paid at time of reservation

Actually, I'm asking them for confirmation that it's a 100% refund, because the English translation was a little unclear. I cut & pasted the following from their confirmation email:

"For any cancellation notice should be received at least 14 days prior to arrival date. Confirmation by then there will be a penalty of one night room charge. "

This is the reply I got from them to clarify:

Yes, if you cancel less than 14 days, you will get one night stay cancellation fee, and if you cancel on the same day, full charge will be applied to your account as cancellation fee.

Please inform us maximum 16 days before the date of check in if there's any change. So we can safely cancel your booking. But I hope you will not cancel your holiday to Bali.
