Bali and Singapore in Dec/Jan

We're thinking of taking the Smartours Best of the Orient trip to Hong Kong, Bali, Singapore and Bangkok in late Dec, early January. I know it's a good time for Bangkok but how about Bali, Hong Kong and Singapore?

Singapore has rain throughout the year, sometimes a drizzle others, thunderstorms. January would be the end of a monsoon season so we should have less rain at about that time. One other thing to take note-of is that we experience Haze. This is unpredictable as the forest-burning from Indonesia gets to these parts whenever they start clearing their forests. Right now there is widespread cough/asthma due to the haze as well as joss-stick/paper burning during the Chinese Ghost month festivals.

I went to Hong Kong in late December several years ago. Temperatures were cool (needed a jacket) and it was mostly overcast or raining.

Was in Singapore last Xmas. Some warm beautiful days and one day of heavy, heavy rain. Even closed the airport. Then went on to Hong Kong first week in Jan. Great mild weather, some night were on the cooler side. Bangkok was very hot and sunny.

Have a wonderful time, it is a great trip.

Next Dec Bali will be in rain season. Rain can come every day, but for only 1- 2 hours, just prepare umbrella. Will not disturb your sight seeing but make your journey much funny.
