Bale Hotel
I am planning a honeymoon for July 2004 and was interested in staying at this hotel in Nusa Dua. No reviews seem to exist on this site. Has anyone stayed here? Walked the grounds? Eaten at Faces (the Bale restaurant)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. G

Hi
Ive never stayed at the Bale but its supposed to a nice quiet place. Recently stayed at 'The Legian' in the Seminyak area and it was fantastic! If I were to go to Bali again, this is where id be. Bali is a great place. Good luck! |
Give the search engine on www.balitravelforum.com a shot. I entered "Bale" and got a bunch of hits.

I just returned from Bali and if budget is not a consideration there is nothing to beat Begawan Giri in Ubud. It is truly amazing. www.begawan.com. U could also consider Puri Wulandari, Ubud - very romantic villas. Ubud is not beaches so if u want a beach I second the Legian suggestion as it is near Kuta and Seminyak. Take one of the villas at The Club at The Legian. Gorgeous. Luxe Guides who are my Bible recommend Bale so sure that it is good - they describe it as "desert chic". For a honeymoon why don't u consider a combination of Ubud and Nusa dua (The Bale)?

Sorry - forgot to add - url address for Bale is www.sanctuaryresorts.com

I agree that the Begawan Giri is quite an amazing spot, but it's really best for those who want complete seclusion and privacy and aren't looking to leave the property much. It is WAY off the beaten path. 30 minutes just to get to Ubud, if you wanted to eat in an off-property restaurant.
