i thought that was probably the case but after reading those books about bkk police i thought i should ask, sir.
how many stars are you?? 7? |
We spent one full day with our Thai hosts. They seemed really nice, very faithful, and nothing gave us any impression that anything was amiss. Nothing at all made us think there was a shady side to the family.
One thing that was a "perk" of being a part of the higher level police department was that, I noted that Tim preferred taking the police car with driver where she went. I remarked that perhaps it was because you could park anywhere, really, anywhere at all, in the police car. She smiled and said to her husband that I was very bright as I understood the reason for travelling via the police car. Double parked, whatever, it didn't matter. However, even when we went in their private car, it seemed he was known by groundskeepers, etc. and a special place was found for his private car. To be really fair though, when we left these places, they both gave bags of food and cash to the "car guarders" who were very happy with their generosity. This couple was also very devoted to the Royal Family. Photos of them all over their home and several books about the Royal Family. Oh Pook I did have a laugh at your response. I'm so sad I didn't get to meet you. I detect a really good sense of humor, something I treasure. Sue |

I just found the brochure from the nice outdoor restaurant we went to with our Thai hosts. The name is Khinlom Com Sa Phan Restaurant. It is adjacent to the Rama 8 Bridge on the river so is a really nice sight at night. The Thai food was very good. Address is 11/6 Samsan Soi 3, Samsan Rd, Watsampraya. Website
