Back from Goa Report!

To all of you who have helped me before my trip to Goa answering my questions, here is a brief report of the fantastic week I had there :

Flew with Jet Airways from London to Mumbai and then to Goa. Before I went I was a bit afraid of flying with this airline but now I am more than happy! Jet Airways is a great airline! Flights on time, new planes, plenty of entertainement with individual screens, very good food, very helpful and friendly staff. Can't say enough good things about this airline! They even gave us a small kit with socks, toothbrush, etc on our night flight! And I was travelling economy.

Stayed at the Taj Holiday Village and loved the hotel! The lawns are very well kept, beautiful, wonderful rooms, with large flat tvs and plenty of channels, awsome decoration, very clean with small touches every day. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. There were 3 restaurants with great food, we ate there most of the time. Unfortunately we weren't able to go to the beach as the sea was still rough and they hadn't opened the beach. But the pool was lovely!

Went to Old Goa ,visited the churches and Panjim in a tour offered by the hotel. Did several trips to Calangute, went to Mapusa Market ( enjoyed it very much it was a unique experience!), to Ponda and visited a spice plantation and the temples around Ponda. Did great shopping, saw so many beautiful things, wish I could carry more luggage weight....!

I truly loved Goa, the people, the sights, the food, the landscapes, even the cows in the middle of the road and the crazy traffic horning all the time, lol! I am thinking of going to Rajhastan next year and will return to Goa and stay at the Taj Holiday Village again. Can't wait to go back!

Again thanks to all of you who helped me in this forum before my trip and if anyone needs any information or tip on Goa, feel free to ask.

Teresa

Hi Tere!! Glad u had such a good time in Goa..It has made me excited about our upcoming trip in December....But if u are planning a trip to Rajasthan..it is totally different than Goa...as there are cows, camels, pigs and everything else...but Goa is a good introduction to India.

As this will be our 4th trip to India...i am already thinking about going back to Rajasthan next year and seeing more of it and ending up in Goa..

I loved the Mapusa market as well...

We are looking forward also to visiting with Goan friends that we now have and have been shopping endlessly for Xmas presents for them..

I found the people in Goa, to be just fabulous...

Well, i might have some questions for u later.

Tracy

Glad you enjoyed your stay in Goa... more so because I live there! Haven't been posting that frequently so I must have missed your earlier posts. Like TracyB said, Goa is a good introduction to India.

Jet airways is a very good airline, I use them frequently for domestic destinations, but haven't yet flown them internationally.

Next time you're in Goa, you should spend some time visiting the beaches down south.

Tracy is right, from Mumbai to Goa it is only a 1 hour flight and Jet Airways is an excellent airline, one of the best I have flown with. They will even serve you a hot meal in such a short flight!

Looks like many aspects of customer appeal are being covered.
