HI jackie, I am now in Krabi and its raining a lot! Try another season, you will have much more fun. The sea is rough, couldn't go to maya bay because of huge waves. The water is also a bit unclear, unless you go to the lagoons.

Jackie, On the site www.phuket.com the moderator gives daily weather reports, they are very accurate as he lives in Phuket & the weather in Phuket is often very different to what the forecasts say.

Thai TV forecast for weekend in Phuket is cloudy with rain. This is to be expected as August/September are the wetest months of the year. The Gulf side has the opposite, dry season but with some ocassional rain.
