ATM at NRT?
Have a long layover at NRT. Is there an ATM in the airport so I can get some yen? Any other suggestions?

I haven't tried getting cash at the Narita Airport, but major branches of post office should have an ATM that takes foreign credit cards (I've gotten cash with my Diners at the post office ATM at the Sapporo's New Chitose Airport, and am not sure if other kinds of cards are accepted though)<BR><BR>And here's the post office at Narita, but you should double check:<BR><BR>http://www.narita-airport.or.jp/airp...st/svc_12.html

Bonjour Sue,<BR><BR>Here's the word about ATMs in Narita, and the rest of the advice is great too: http://net.saipan.com/personal/mike_newman/narita/narita.html#money<BR><BR>Have a good time and a safe trip.

Thanks, Florence. That's a great link with all the info I think I need.

Unfortunately, Mike took down his Narita layover page due to Japanese immigration officials getting painful about "shore" or layover passes to visit Narita.

I visited Tokyo and flew into Narata. There is a CitiBank ATM in the airport. But It was when you passed through imigration. I do not know where there is one inside. I hope this helps.

Sue,
Why not at NRT, I have encountered an ATM in Japan that takes foreign card, but ... gives cash in Y10,000 increments only. That is almost $100 minimum! |
