Are there flights from Siem Reap to Danang or Hue?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to fly between Siem Reap and either Danang or Hue?
I appreciate your help! Can I book such a flight from the US before I go or do I need to do it through an agent in Cambodia or Vietnam?

Thanks!
AMY

Hue airport is domestic only, last time I checked. The only international carrier that I know flies to Danang is Thai from Bangkok.

Silk Air goes to DAD, but I guess the trip to/from REP would be via Singapore.

There is a direct flight from Siem Reap to either Hue or Danang (I think it is Danang)but I can't recall which airline. I stumbled across it while researching my Vietnam-Cambodia holiday in March this year, but never bothered booking.

Then, while in Hoian, I met an American couple who did the flight but I didn't ask which airline it was with. Perhaps ask the question in Lonely Planet's Thorntree. I'm sure someone there will know.

The Silk air website shows that 631 from Sinapore to DaNang stops at Siem Reap but apparently does not pick up passangers. Their site shows no flights from SR to DN. You would have to phone the airline or travel agent to double check.

The flight from Siem Reap to DaNang is not a daily flight, so keep this in mind when planning your travel.

Hi Bisbee,
I tried to find that flight on the Silk Air website but it's not listed. Would not let me select Siem Reap as a departure. Tried entering the opposite route, Danang to Siem Reap, but nothing was coming up (tried every day of the week) - is there a booking site you would recommend where I might find more options? Where did you find the option that you posted here? I appreciate your help!

I have also looked into these flights but there aren't any I could find. My Vietnam travel agent couldn't find any either.

Hi

I've reoriented our itinerary so now we'll need to fly from Phnom Penh to Danang, which I hope will be possible, though I am still not finding anything online!

Amy, based on our experience yesterday, use a travel agent. It will not cost you extra (might even save you money) and you will get the help you need. We use wwww.vietnamstay.com and they have been extremely helpful.

Thanks so much - I will look into both those options. Being able to get from Cambodia to Vietnam by plane midway through our trip is key to our itinerary working so I hope I can figure this out!

Elainee - is vietnamstay helping you only with flights? Or are you booking a tour with them? Did you contact them by email or by phone? Did you manage to find a Cambodia-Vietnam route? Would love to hear what kind of itinerary you're building!

Bisbee... is that a subscriber service? I can't find a search option...

We booked our hotels and car services thru them. For flights we could not use them because we are flying in and out of Hong Kong and they cannot book flights with Hong Kong. But, I believe they can book flights to SR and PP. Of course they can book intra-Vietnam flights. I contact them thru email. They have been very responsive. My agent is Ms Thanh Nhu. There are flights on Vietnam Air between SR and HCMC and SR and Hanoi. Not to other cities to my knowledge. You can contact Vietnamstay and tell them what flights you want and where you want to stay. We relied on their advice for some of our hotels.
