Are there any GTG's in the Midwest? They sound like a blast, but so far I've only seen the east coast.

I'm also a midwesterner. I'm from downstate Illinois. Yes, we'd love it if Gloria would organize something in or around Chicago.

I'm flying into Boston for the Oct GTG. So is guenmai from LAX. Maybe you could also???

There are also GTGs in Honolulu if you'd like to go to one there in the future. There were two there last year. They aren't all on the East Coast. Happy Travels!

Well, its a bit of work but first you need to post that you are having a GTG and get a feel for dates from those that might attend. Then pick one that is convenient for you. The next challenge is to pick a venue. I just did this and its not an easy task but doable so you must persist. Basically, you need a place that is conveniently located (the suburbs might be better) with easy access, cheap parking and an a la carte menu so that everyone can order what they want. You do not want a place that will charge extra for your event but you would want a special section of a restaurant where you can gather and chat prior to your meal.
