Anyone heard of Nadesar Palace--New Taj hotel in Varanasi

Taj is supposed to be opening up a new hotel in Varanasi in Jan. 09. It has 4 rooms and 6 suites. Has anybody heard of it and have any comments? Thanks.

Thanks Dogster. I had already seen that electronic brochure; it looks intriguing doesn't it? We were planning to stay at the Rashmii Guest House but now we are thinking of staying at this place instead. If so, we will have done a complete 180. (We are going to India in early February, and the Taj is taking reservations for that time period.)

By the way, it's a bit belated, but I do want to let you know that I really appreciated the sharing of your experience with the family in Varanasi. You should seriously consider making some tweaks and submit it to someplace like Traveler's Tales or who knows where else. It really was that good. It certainly tugged my heart strings.

Thanks for your kind words about my story.

Yes, it does look kinda cool, I must say - I'm in a quandry. Rashmi is great and would be the premium Varanasi location as far as I'm concerned for the 'real deal' Varanasi experience. The reality is that you have to want to dive right into Varanasi up to your neck if you stay there. I do highly recommend it - despite my injuries.

But if I went back and needed calculated immersion then luxury, lol - that new Taj looks great. There simply ins't anywhere like that in Varanasi. It's either down market and [not all that good] upmarket.

I've sent in a booking enquiry, I can't make the site work for me. Dunno what the $$ are yet. Doubtless a million bucks a night.

lol, you're evil Marija.

Pink isn't my colour of choice, I must admit. I hope they have a blue one for boys.

The only time I ever dressed as a woman I wore pink. It didn't suit me. Just brought out the bloodshot in my eyes.

I was a very unpleasant looking dame, I must say - the kind you'd run from on a dark night. Perhaps this is too much information...
