Anyone fly on Angkor Air before?
 

I have been looking into tickets to Siem Reap from Taipei, and talking with a travel agent, they suggested flying Angkor Air since they offer direct. I can't find barely any mention of them on the web and not even a airline website. Makes me a bit apprehensive, so just wondering if anyone has ever flown with them before? Thanks.

I did a search on Yahoo out of interest and found something about Far East Air Transport ( FEAT Taiwan ) leasing them a 757 but then after that some mention it was a venture with Phuket Air, there was a photo somewhere than showed an old DC9 with logo on! It seems there was a press release earlier in the year but then nothing more.
On online flight schedules shows no directs and nothing more about them, unless this is some re-started venture I would check in detail, but at the same time check if FEAT are doing any charters.

Thanks James. I did find a little bit more info. Sounds like they started flying this route sometime in late 2004. So obviously quite new. Maybe I'll also post on Lonelyplanet forum and see if I get any info.

If they started in 2004 I am 100% certain there would be lots of information, I live in Thailand and have never heard of them and keep a pretty close interest on which airlines fly where, so I also checked on Yahoo Thailand and nothing about them, no website or anything, note that on the current airline schedules they do not show as flights or anything, are you in TPE? If so simple thing is to call TPE Airport authority, or perhaps try another travel agent, no disrespect to t/agents but sometimes they might be using in this case old information.

Hey, looks like it's actually called Angkor Airways (not Air)! Here's the website:

I also found them listed in TPE's CKS official airport schedule. Now if I can only find out if it's a "safe" airline to fly.
