Any tips to Dhaka?
 
Hi!

Has anyone been to dhaka in mid oct?
How's the waether like?

My 1st time to Dhaka for working purpose - just for 5 days.

Just wondering any plce worth visiting while in dhaka.

tips anyone?

Yes, I've been to Dhaka. Actually I am from Dhaka. Weather in Oct as I remember (it's been long haven't been there in Oct) it would be quite disgusting. Heat and humidity.

Traffic is WORSE there. So, I'm not sure if after work you would be able to see anything. But Parliament is right in the middle of everything, and worth a visit. It's quite pretty. Everything else is really further from the main city and I don't think you can go there in horrendous traffic in such a short time.

I am Bangladeshi, and involving with tourism, the October is nice most from October to April the weather is okey but may be hot from March to April.
Don't worry about weather. Its all will be ok.

I have a friend who goes to Dhaka often. October is the end of the rainy season and the temps are coming down. You can get lucky and it will be pleasantly hot, instead of brutally hot. She usually goes around the end of November (over the US Thanksgiving holiday), but says that Jan -March are the best months.

I have a family who live in Dhaka and October is like lcuy said the end of the rainy season so the temperature is cooling down. have a great time!
